My current work extends my painting into areas of interest including domestic phenomena, chart music, personal memory and identity, and public visuality. Each painting – or ‘painted item’ (…) – suggests and reworks the qualities of the enveloping practice as well as establishing an individual composition. This intertextuality of subject and form variously presents work as sculptural, painterly or installation-y, an instability of presentation reflecting muddled consciousness distributed across personal and public contexts.
